I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
