Homages Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without laughter".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A court order issued a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a public database noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public individuals shared divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive statements that were broadly criticized by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the critics last week. Talking on his program, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and remarked they revealed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate could have intervened when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
