Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who breached a barrier and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the Australian man bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of Singapore attendees had waited to meet the performers of Wicked

Numerous of supporters had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen award recognitions, winning several for best costume and production design.
