'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Families of Missing Young People Desperately Seek Information After Alpine Blaze
The loved ones of teenagers lost after a devastating blaze at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for any details about their children publicly.
The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Circulated video show the ceiling igniting as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Officials have stated that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the fire, which killed numerous partygoers and wounded another 119. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts continuing to name the remaining few.
