David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

A Dual Career

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
