Brian Eno Urges Support to Get Together for Palestine Song to UK Festive Top Spot.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project hopes to send support to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian cultural expression.

A Chance for Support and an "Surprise Victory"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He noted the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it fails to, festive releases are a unique phenomenon.”

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the version of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“The song holds a profound significance for many individuals,” Barghouti shared. “It’s basically saying that I would rather die in dignity than exist without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Production History and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down after a solidarity show held in late summer. Originally intended to be captured during the live event, the performance was omitted from the lengthy event due to time constraints.

The diverse array of performers featured on Lullaby features a group of acclaimed names from the music world. All took part in the September show, which successfully generated a substantial amount for charitable causes.

Production and Release

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of producers and composers. The track features a mix of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The team running the initiative have emphasized that their goal is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These resources will be channeled to projects in Palestine through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We haven't set a rigid aim,” a representative commented. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Of course, the more the merrier. Every penny goes out to Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was characterized as its widespread damage, with a huge proportion of buildings said to be levelled or seriously harmed.

“Given that reality, a few million won't make that much difference. But I think what does make a difference is first of all raising awareness for this issue and showing the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a video of the solidarity show will be made available for streaming on a major video platform from mid-December.
