American-Palestinian Adolescent Freed Following Nine Months in Israel's Imprisonment

An Palestinian-American youth having endured a nine-month period in Israeli detention absent formal charges was released.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old during his detention in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.

American diplomatic officials applauded the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care right after being freed, family members reported.

Family described him as pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.

In a statement, Mohammed's uncle conveyed their "tremendous relief".

Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Right now, our priority is getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after being subjected to Israel's abuse and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

American authorities announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"American leadership gives utmost importance to the protection and welfare of American nationals"," it added.

A group of American legislators had signed a letter to US authorities and the White House, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.

The father, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop from Florida, previously said his child admitted guilt about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since February, and only heard regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.

He stayed lacking indictment within Ofer penitentiary on the West Bank.

Additionally housing grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and murder.

Approximately 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Several lack formal charges and human rights groups, as well as the United Nations, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative their cousin Sayfollah.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials succumbed to assault by settlement residents amid clashes last July.

At the time, the Israeli military said officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian was deceased.

Both young men collaborated at their family's ice cream business based in Florida.

No charges have been filed regarding Sayfollah's death.
